Puppy Day Training - A One-On-One Experience but not a Class

How Puppy Day Training Works

Day Training offers dog parents an alternative to traditional group dog training classes. This training session will be a total of 8 lessons; 2 lessons per week over the course of a 4 week time period. During this designated time frame Tammy will work one-on-one with the client's puppy. Tammy will focus her training efforts on goals established with the client/pup's parent(s) at the beginning of the training relationship. Day Training takes place at the dog’s residence and/or at a nearby public location. Such environments are critical to the puppies training experience. This proven model of training is designed to help you and your pup’s training goals move a little faster whether it's teaching basic skills or sorting out more complicated behavioral issues.

How to Plan for this Course

  • Choose a designated 4 week period of time
  • Reserve 2 one-hour  lesson times per week.
  • Follow through with scheduled lessons at an agreed upon location

Day Training takes place at the dog’s residence and/or at a nearby public location.

How Does the Puppy Parent Learn the Puppy's New Skills?

The client/puppy parent(s) will have a total of 4 transfer sessions with Tammy. These "transfer sessions", wherein Tammy works directly with the client/ puppy parent(s), are designed to close the loop of learning. Tammy transfers her training techniques to the puppy parent(s) by way of one-on-one, in-person, hands-on practice and dialog. Herein the client learns and grows to understand the skills Tammy has been teaching the puppy. Homework handouts, behavioral information, and videos will also be provided after every session.

Tammy's Training Style

My Sensitive Tyke, LLC only uses Force Free Dog Reinforcement Based Training methods. No fear or adverse methods are ever used.
